…and it’s nearly impossible not for me to nerd-out around him. I always thought I’d be the crazy comic artist of the family.
It’s also kind of weird because I own quite a bit of his stuff. Hurm.
D is for Doctor Who Defeating Doctor Doom in a Deadly Disco Dance-off.
I would pay to see that. Like, a lot.
- Practice, Practice, Practice. Yes It’s horrible advice to give and to receive. But there is a reason it is so prolific. You can’t get better without making a million and one tiny mistakes. The more you draw the better you get, it’s as simple as that. Keep a sketchbook. Draw motherfucker draw.
That was brilliant. Thank you!
Deadpool Graduation. May come back to colour this if I got the time.
Oh my gosh, that is awesome!
Thank you so much!
I’m so good to you guys I’m going to upload the pencils to an earlier spiderman hulk piece. And welcome to the new followers :D
…and why aren’t you working for Marvel again? They have no idea what they’re missing.
This is flippin’ gorgeous.

Starts tomorrow!
If you live anywhere near Ottawa (and hey, even if you don’t) you’ll definitely want to check this out. It’s gonna be a total blast! It runs from Wednesday to Sunday all over downtown Ottawa. Be there, people!
I cannot believe the amazing luck I’ve been having this past week. The Animation Festival has been no less than spectacular, and I’ve been meeting some really amazing people! Not only did I get to see some brilliant (and, admittedly, not so brilliant) films, but…I‘ve been scouted.
Basically, these two guys overheard me explaining some things to my friend about the animated short we’d just seen. They came over and asked if I was an animation student since I seemed to know what I was talking about (such charmers, eh?). Turns out one of them was a past graduate from the program! We had a nice chat, names were exchanged, and I learned quite a bit about what they had done after leaving the program. Turns out they currently run a studio. And they told me to keep working my butt off, keep in touch with them, and send them a portfolio in my second year! One of them gave me contact info and everything! WOO HOO!
And when I thought things couldn’t get better, turns out my amazing mother ‘o mine has a friend who does a lot of work with Starz Animation Studio. And he said he’d be delighted to submit my resume to them in hopes that I can get some employment for over the summer - nothing big, obviously, just acting as a gopher/ go-to person. Which would be beyond amazing, frankly, because I’ll take any job as long as it gets my butt in a studio. Heck, I’ll wash windows if I have to!
Doom as a Disney princess for social-eyes
OH MAN, HAHAHAHA!
Doom makes one gorgeous Ariel. Hot damn.
Mike, you’re the best! And now I have a new desktop background!
