I’m still going to miss The Spectacular Spider-Man, though. I really enjoyed it. This, however, looks quite promising. That and the idea of an upcoming Avengers Animated series!
- Practice, Practice, Practice. Yes It’s horrible advice to give and to receive. But there is a reason it is so prolific. You can’t get better without making a million and one tiny mistakes. The more you draw the better you get, it’s as simple as that. Keep a sketchbook. Draw motherfucker draw.

Hey followers!
Yes, I’m back from my visit to Montreal, which was very pleasant and thank you for asking (which you didn’t but I’ll pretend you did because this is the internet and I can do that. Hmmyup!) But, as you can probably tell from the title, I’m taking a hiatus.
Why?
College. Animation Program. Life. That’s the basics of it, really. I need to stop spending so much time on the internet, especially on the crack that is Tumblr, and spend more time sketching and getting ready for a new stage in my life (cheesy as that may sound). I’ll miss you guys a lot, but It’s what I gotta do.
How long will you be gone?
I have no idea. I really enjoy it on here, especially with the lovely folks of the tumblr comic community, but I’m way more productive if I just stay offline. Hopefully I won’t be gone for too long…I’m weak like that, I guess. I’ll miss you all too much!
Should I unfollow you?
If you want to, no ones stopping you. But, that being said, I really do appreciate you crazy awesome followers ‘o mine, and I’d love to see you all if/when I get back!

I woke up this morning feeling miserable because I barely got any sleep - nights before I hand in final assignments, even if I’ve fully completed them, never go well. All I can think about is “OH MAH GAWD DID I FORGET SOMETHING?!” which sucks. I’m a bit of a perfectionist, or so I’ve discovered.
So grumpy ‘ol Miranda gets up out of bed at 7am, feeling like Garfield in her Monday angst, then remembers: Today I get a visit from Jessica Borutski. Well, suddenly things seem a whole lot brighter! She’s a graduate from my program who landed the amazing job of redesigning all the Looney Toons characters. Goddamn, that is one awesome job. And I get to start off my morning meeting and greeting her. Woo hoo!
Oh, and it get’s better. Then I remember that they’re screening Kick-Ass in the biggest lecture hall tonight for free. With free popcorn. It’ll be a great chance to meet people who share similar interests as me, but also who can say no to a night of free popcorn and Kick-Ass fun?
So maybe Monday’s don’t suck so much. Sure it’s my longest day of classes, I’m up ungodly early, I’m sleep deprived, big assignments are due, AND I’ve run out of bread for breakfast BUT HEY. Today is gonna be awesome anyway.

Uh, I mean…ahem, anyway, some reps from Disney will be at my college next week talking about what it takes to work for them, and they’ll probably take a look at the portfolios of some 3rd years. Oh, and we might get to see some footage from Tangled! WOOOO!
We’ve got another guest speaker before then, but my mind kinda blanked out after they mentioned Disney. But I remember it is also something significantly awesome. B-but I just…just…DISNEY. Like, this guy is heading down from freakin’ California to check out the program! The program I am in! YAAAAAA-!
